Tis the season

To send Christmas cards.  Don't worry family...our cards went out today; better late than never right?!  I always stress over family pictures.  What should we wear?  The location?  The photographer?  So many things to consider.  Well the family to put a wonderful spin on the Christmas Card....The Kardashians!  Their picture is so glamorous.
Granted there is a ton of editing but the picture is FIERCE.  The Jenner girls have really grown up.  Don't you just love Mason in his suit?!  The style definitely fits the family.  Go here to see behind the scenes photos.  I will leave you with a couple of our Christmas pictures, my men and my baby.  So cute!

Baby Daddy Shower

The man shower was so much fun.  The guys were ask to bring a pack of diapers.  I think the couple will be set for at least 4 months!  We played 2 games, tournament style.  The first game was a race to see who could change the baby the fastest.  Good thing we used dolls because they were rough.  The second game was guess the baby food.  I was surprised they were really into it.  Pure comedy!  I created the invitation to look like a sporting event ticket.  The colors of Minnesota were the inspiration.
Here is the food layout
I found these football shaped brownies at Wally World

I also made water bottle labels

I kept the decor at a minimum.  This was a simple and cute way to dress up the mantle.  I purchased the iron-ons from Michael's.  The dad took the onesies home at the end of the night.
All the guests signed the football.  I believe they will display the football in the babies room.
  Daddy's Bowl Jersey
The daddy holding an adult beverage with a baby hat on it. Silly!
We had a great time!

2¢ Tuesdays

This information is worth exactly what you paid for it.....

Dare to be different...when it comes to your wedding. Many times we are so bogged down with rules and etiquette or trying to please others.  Make no mistake, I follow rules and etiquette is very important. For your wedding, this is your one day to shine so make it about you! If you want to wear blue converse, by all means put them on. I love when brides are expressive and different. Every wedding doesn't need the standard chicken/beef/fish plated meal. Food stations are great. Cupcakes are cool. It’s okay to have a uneven bridal party. Gone are the days of the cookie cutter wedding. Don't feel bad if you don't have favors, programs, or any other standard wedding items. Be expressive, be yourself, just be....

That's just my 2¢

Baby Love

What woman doesn’t love a great baby shower?!?!?! Granted the typical baby shower games are a bit passé but overall baby showers are fun. In recent years, women have allowed men to infiltrate our baby showers. Co-ed showers take away the super girly aspect that some women are not fond of. Majority of the time with co-ed showers, you end up with men drinking and watching TV while the women have a shower.

Well, how about an all male shower. More and more dads are having diaper parties. The guys bring a pack of diapers (since men don’t shop for baby items) and have a few beers. I was contacted to plan an all male baby shower at the end of the month. This first time dad is a football fanatic! He is also a former University of Minnesota football player (color scheme!). My goal is to blend things men love; football, beer, and wings with a baby shower. This will should be fun! A little inspiration....

Yellow

Recently, I have become obsessed with the color yellow (I see many yellow posts in my future). It could be the tissue paper bouquet my son made that is on my desk. The color just makes me happy. Yellow paired with gray, black, pink...any color really, can create a stylish event! The Knot has a few color combinations with yellow in their photo gallery. Take a peek...

Have your cake...

Anyone that knows me knows I cake. Cupcakes, birthday cake, wedding cake, cake balls, pound cake, homemade cake, store bought cake...any type of cake really. I might be a little obsessed. At an event, cakes are essential. Cakes are so important, there are new cake shows on TV every week and I LOVE it. Cupcakes are all the rage. More brides are using cupcakes instead of the traditional tiered wedding cake. Another trend taking the dessert world by storm are cake balls! More on those lovelies later. For now, feast (pun intended) your eyes on these beauties from Pink Cake Box....YUM!
